The result is a precipitate, which is filtered, squeezed and dried. A slightly colored saline water solution does not represent an environmental hazard and can be drained into the sewer system.
The resulting substance is a semi-product and is a plastic solid mass consisting mainly of calcium soaps. Fatty cup grease is obtained by dissolving this intermediate in industrial oil.
