“Polyfix” entomological glue (Technical specifications 2387-002-55841212-2002)
А waste-free technology has been developed for the production of non-toxic environmentally friendly entomological glue "Polyfix", based on the by-product of the production of polyethylene - low molecular weight polyethylene LMWP-2 - (Patent 2236129).
The glue is intended for the manufacture of pheromone, color and other glue traps used to control harmful insects in everyday life, agricultural and industrial production.
Due to the non-drying adhesive surface of the trap, insects are reliably fixed, and the use of various attracting agents (pheromones, colors of a certain length, a wave, attractants) allows to selectively capture only sensitive individuals. This makes it possible to monitor them and significantly reduces the consumption of insecticides.
Glue traps in the form of trapping belts applied to a tree trunk, prevent the migration of insects up the trunk.
Entomological glue with increased viscosity and increased adhesion can be used in traps for small rodents.
The use of glue traps eliminates the use of harmful chemicals, therefore, such traps are used particularly widely in greenhouses.
“Polyfix” glue is a low- volatile viscous mass with a flash point above 190 ° C.
"Polyfix" glue refers to low-toxic products of the fourth hazard class, does not irritate the skin, does not have sensitizing properties and a cumulative effect, does not irritate the upper respiratory tract.

Before applying the glue is heated to a temperature of 40-70 ° C and evenly applied to the working surface of the trap using rollers, a spatula, etc. in the form of film with a thickness of 0.2-1 mm.
The glue surface remains sticky for almost unlimited time provided that sticking of mechanical impurities to the surface (debris, dust, etc.) is avoided.
