Mixed plasticizer based on C5-fraction isolated from liquid pyrolysis products
A one-pot method has been developed for obtaining a mixed plasticizer by reacting the C5 fraction with maleic anhydride and then with the alcohols of the DRBA fraction.
The C5 fraction is allocated from liquid pyrolysis products (LPP), a by-product of the pyrolysis production of ethylene and propylene. The fraction is a mixture of low-boiling hydrocarbons, mainly C5 mixed with C4 and C6, boils within 30-70 ° С and contains alkanes, olefins and dienes.
We used the C5 fraction, which is produced by “Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat” LLC ("Pentane-Isoprene Cyclopentadiene Fraction", CTO 05766575-136-2007), without prior treatment.
The alcohol fraction containing a mixture of 2-ethylhexanol and ethylhexenols is recovered from DRBA by the method of fractional distillation.
