DOTP plasticizer based on intermediate production of polyethylene terephthalate - technical terephthalic acid

Next products was used as a raw material:

• technical terephthalic acid (TTPA) - intermediate in the production of purified TPA (OTFK) used to obtain polyethylene terephthalate.
• commodity 2-ethylhexanol or alcohol fraction isolated from DRBA or HPRD.

TTPA has a purity of more than 99.5% and is used to obtain a plasticizer without prior preparation. At a cost, TTPA is significantly cheaper than purified Terephtalic Acid, which makes it possible to obtain an inexpensive plasticizer with high characteristics.

Patent No. 2612302 “Method of producing dioctyl terephthalate” was obtained.

Also know-how on the method of obtaining a plasticizer from TTPA and DRBA was obtained.
