Cold roof waterproofing mastic based on chloresulfopolethylene(CSPE)
COLD ROOF WATERPROOFING MASTIC BASED ON CHLORESULFOPOLETHYLENE (CSPE)
An original production technology has been developed for cold insulating roofing two-component low-combustibility mastic with improved properties based on chlorsulfopolyethylene (CSPE).
Mastic is intended for the device and repair of roofs on reinforced concrete, asbestos-cement and wooden bases both with reinforcement with fiberglass and without it, as well as for waterproofing and anti-corrosion treatment of concrete, metal and other structures outdoors.
The first component of the mastic is a solution of CSPE, organic additives, plasticizer, fillers in an aromatic solvent.
The second component is 5-8% by weight of the first component and is a solution of a partially deactivated vulcanizing agent in butyl alcohol.
As a solvent, the amount of which in the first component reaches ~ 50%, aromatic fractions obtained from waste products are used, which significantly reduces the cost of mastic.
This is a petrochemical “Nefras-A-120/150” oil solvent (Technical Specifications 2415-004-64123846-2013), obtained from an alkyl benzene production waste, and a solvent formed as a by-product in the obtaining of petroleum resins from the C7-C9 fraction of liquid pyrolysis products (LPP).
The advantage of the developed mastic production technology is the absence of the grinding stage, which requires the use of expensive equipment - rollers, mills, rubber mixers, etc., which significantly reduces production costs.
The components are mixed immediately before applying mastic to the surface. By changing the ratio of reagents in the vulcanizing composition, it is possible to adjust the "viability" of the prepared mastic (i.e. the time from the start of mixing the compositions to the thickening of the mixture) from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
Rapid vulcanization of mastic simplifies its use on non-horizontal surfaces.
Mastic can be used both for the device of a new roof, and for repair of the old one. Mastic is applied to the cleaned dry surface by any method of painting technology (roller, spatula, brush, rubber mop or airless spray) in several layers in layers. Approximate consumption of mastic for obtaining a monolithic film with a thickness of 1 mm is 3.3-3.5 kg / m2. The thickness of the mastic layer varies within 1-3 mm.
At the request of the consumer mastic can be made in different colors - black, silver, green, brown, etc.
The coatings obtained on the basis of the developed composition do not pass moisture, do not swell and do not dissolve in weakly alkaline and weakly acidic aqueous solutions, retain elasticity and strength in a wide temperature range, provide reliable waterproofing of the roof, underground engineering structures and other structures of complex configuration made of concrete, metal , bricks, tiles and wood.
